EA unveil Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13
Electronic Arts USA have released a trailer and a few screenshots of the next Tiger Woods PGA Tour.
The trailer, which can be viewed using the link below, shows some of the professional golfers available to play as in the next installment, including Rickie Fowler, Northern Ireland’s own Rory McIlroy and of course, Tiger Woods himself.
One of the key new features seems to be an all new swing mechanic:
Total Swing Control – Taking its most significant leap forward in swing mechanics in over a decade, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 13 revolutionizes the virtual golf swing. Golfers will take full control over their swing with all-new tempo, swing plane and shot power controls along with an adjustable shot setup, allowing players to address the ball in a number of ways creating tens of millions possible shots with just one club.
Some screenshots from the game can be seen below. The game is expected to launch on March 30th in the UK, with more news and features to be announced over the coming months.
I’ve owned PGA Tour Game’s since the MegaDrive days, then Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1 & PS2 etc… and I stopped buying them on Xbox360 after I played Tiger Woods 2010 because it was all a bit same-old-same…
Now, having had such a massive gap inbetween games I really am quite excited for this one – it’s been awhile, and I’m ready for the new swing control features…

I bought PGA Tour 12, as I recently started playing golf, and found it really good fun. In particular, playing over Xbox Live with a friend is great.
Definitely interested in picking this up.
